The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities for our digital marketing and content creation services. This role requires a strong understanding of the digital marketing landscape, excellent sales and communication skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a passion for building relationships and driving business growth.
Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including networking, online research, and industry events. Generate qualified leads through proactive outreach, cold calling, email campaigns, and social media engagement. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Sales & Client Acquisition: Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand client requirements and develop tailored solutions. Present and demonstrate our digital marketing and content creation services to prospective clients. Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations. Negotiate and close sales contracts, ensuring profitable and sustainable client relationships. Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance and support. Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, creative, and project management) to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery. Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Market Analysis & Reporting: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies. Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management. Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies. Provide feedback from the market to the service delivery teams to improve product offerings.
Networking and Industry Engagement: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to expand professional network. Represent the company in a professional and positive manner.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the digital marketing or content creation industry.
Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building successful client relationships.
Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, social media marketing, PPC, and content marketing.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of content creation process and sales.
