As a Business Development Manager at GIS Drones, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of the company's market presence. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strong client relationships, and developing strategies to enhance revenue streams. Your expertise in geospatial solutions and drone technology will be crucial in positioning GIS Drones as a leading provider of aerial services.

You will work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and technical departments, to ensure seamless project execution. Your responsibilities will also include market research, lead generation, and negotiations to establish partnerships and secure contracts. A strong ability to understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly will be key to your success in this role. Your role will be crucial in achieving company sales targets, expanding the customer base, and ensuring long-term business success.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business strategies to achieve growth and revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities in the geospatial and drone technology sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, including proposal and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create outreach campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Represent GIS Drones at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Manage and maintain a sales pipeline, tracking progress and forecasting revenue growth.
  • Work closely with technical teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
  • Mentor junior sales and business development team members to improve overall performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in business development or sales, ideally in geospatial, drone technology, or related sectors.
  • Strong understanding of drone technology, GIS solutions, and aerial data applications.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel as required for business meetings and industry events.
  • Experience in mentoring and training junior team members.
