Job description

The Business Development Manager role will be responsible for prospecting new clients, building a proper pipeline that can convert to revenue. They will own the relationships with the clients and the sales cycle from lead to close.

Key responsibilities:

Sales Cycle Management:

  • Build and maintain a sales pipeline through various channels, including cold calling, LinkedIn, referrals, and other sales tools.
  • Plan and execute sales campaigns and manage the sales cycle from lead to close.
  • Product Demonstrations:
  • Deliver compelling product demos, providing insightful technical and pedagogical answers, and effectively articulate the value of Alef's offerings to customers through phone, in-person, and conference interactions.

Growth Strategy:

  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs and arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Promote Alef's products and services, addressing and predicting clients' objectives.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Foster and maintain business relationships with existing clients. Ensure customer satisfaction by collaborating with Customer Success, PMO, IT, and Training teams.

Product Training and Development:

  • Gain a deep understanding of Alef's platform from an Education and Technology perspective.

Internal Collaboration:

  • Work cross-functionally with teams such as Customer Success, PMO, Product and Training to define pilots, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and implementation strategies

Essential skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Administration, or any relevant
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, business development, and sales in the Education or Publishing field is a must
  • Proven track record of effective revenue generation in a B2B environment and exceeding ambitious sales targets in the UAE (Al Ain) or GCC countries
  • Demonstrated expertise in sales, including lead generation and building pipelines
  • CRM experience - SalesForce or Hotspot nice to see
  • Strong communication and negotiations skills
  • Fluency in Arabic and English
