Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to help expand our business in the outdoor industry, specifically targeting Holiday Homes and Interior Designers. This role requires someone with strong sales and relationship-building skills, a deep understanding of design trends, and a passion for outdoor living products. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and promoting our outdoor solutions to the Holiday Homes, Interiors, Interior Decoration, Interior Designers, Renovation, Turnkey & Furniture, and Kitchen Manufacture sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target new business opportunities within the holiday home and interior design sectors, focusing on products like furniture, curtains, wallpaper, wall panels, flooring, and other home solutions.
  • Establish and nurture long-term relationships with holiday home owners, property developers, and interior designers to understand their design needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Develop a comprehensive business development plan targeting the holiday home industry and interior designers. Conduct presentations and lead sales negotiations to secure new contracts.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable consultant to holiday home owners and interior designers, offering expert advice on outdoor solutions that enhance the aesthetic and functional value of their properties.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities related to holiday homes, interior design, and outdoor living. Build partnerships with key players in these sectors, including architects, designers, and developers.
  • Develop and execute strategies for generating leads through online research, cold-calling, email marketing, and referrals within the interior design and holiday home communities.
  • Work closely with the design and product teams to ensure the products meet the unique needs of holiday home projects and interior design requirements.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service for existing clients, ensuring their satisfaction with our outdoor solutions and encouraging repeat business and referrals.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in both the outdoor living and interior design sectors. Analyze competitor offerings and identify opportunities to differentiate our products.
  • Track sales performance, manage CRM data, and report progress on KPIs and targets. Analyze trends to adjust strategies as needed.

Requirements:

  • Background from interior design, holiday home, or fit-out company.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business development or sales, ideally in the outdoor, holiday homes, interiors, interior decoration, interior designers, renovation, turnkey & furniture, or kitchen manufacture sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of products and trends, especially related to indoor/outdoor living, furniture, curtains, wallpaper, wall panels, flooring, and other home solutions.
  • Ability to work with interior designers and architects to provide solutions that fit design aesthetics and functionality.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to pitch effectively to holiday home owners and designers.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to lead generation and client management.
  • Experience using CRM software and other business development tools to manage sales pipelines.
  • Willingness to travel and attend industry events, site visits, and client meetings as needed.
