As Project Manager you will be responsible for managing strategic Rouse projects under the supervision of the PMO Leader and Chief Information Officer, whilst also assisting with executing PMO processes within the organisation.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Project Management of EU, UK and Africa centred business projects.
Provide project management training to local champions to support on projects.
Collaborate closely with internal business unit teams across the organization, including commercial, HR, Finance, and global teams, to define project objectives, scope, schedule, and risks. This encompasses managing a diverse range of projects, including M&A integration, IT initiatives, finance system migration, business process enhancements, and commercial projects.
Responsible for project planning, estimating budgets and co-ordinating activities to ensure that projects stay on course to achieve their business case objectives and remain within schedule and budget.
Monitor, identify, and address critical or severe risks to project delivery.
Implement a Programme Management Office (PMO) process and template to standardize and enhance project management practices throughout the organization.
Host weekly project meetings and present weekly reports on project status, risks, issues, and milestones.
Person specification
A proactive self-starter with the ability to analyse requirements and determine the best course of action. Possesses a can-do attitude.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, strategy, business operations, or a related field.
Strong commercial and operational acumen, coupled with exceptional problem-solving skills.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to effectively engage with C-Suite executives, senior stakeholders and team members in different time zones and countries.
Understand the diversity and cultures of the project team and stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in project and change management.
Ideally degree or equivalent. Extensive experience using a structured project management approach, e.g., PMP, Prince2, or equivalent.
Extensive experience in finance systems, ERP, and databases is a significant advantage.
Proficiency in project management software and tools is essential for success in this role.
