Job description

To analyze procurement processes, develop information management data base, create reports for management, manage Suppliers/Vendors registration, and conduct pre-qualification. Ensure operational efficiency at EMARAT in accordance with EMARAT’s related policies and procedures, applicable laws, and the End User requirements.

Key Activities

  • Collectively work with all stakeholders to ensure management reporting tools are effectively utilized.
  • Analyse procurement data and recommend measures for improvement in procurement processes.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visual presentations to support decision-making.
  • Monitor procurement process KPIs in areas of lead times, timeliness of procurement reports, cost savings, bidders’ performance, and generate regular performance reports.
  • Conduct vendor pre-qualification and selection, and performance evaluation processes.
  • Identify opportunities to diversify the supply base based on market research.
  • Identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Support initiatives for cost reduction, contract/purchase order negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
  • Participate in strategic sourcing initiatives and category management.
  • Effectively utilize Oracle Fusion software to extract and analyze the needed procurement data.
  • Support the implementation of procurement technologies, tools, and automation initiatives.
  • Together with IT support, troubleshoot system issues and provide training to end-users as needed.
  • Act as a liaison between procurement, finance, and other business units/end-users to align objectives.
  • Support procurement team members with data-driven insights for negotiations and decision-making.
  • Support Buyers/Contracts Officers as and when needed in conducting on its own their routine work.

Qualification

  • Ability to analyze large datasets and derive insights.
  • Rigorous approach for tracking and auditing of procurement data.
  • Experience with procurement software e.g., Oracle Procurement Fusion, SAP, and Ariba
  • Analytical thinking and a solution-oriented approach to encounter procurement challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or Finance
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in data base handling in a Procurement function environment
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas Industry preferred
