Business Analyst, Middle East and Africa

The role’s mission is to support regional strategy, plans, and key initiatives, with a focus on managing research insights and data analytics across the region.

Description

  1. Work with external and internal data sets to support business needs and develop insights.
  2. Share and present insights and findings to key stakeholders and leadership.
  3. Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets to identify trends and patterns.
  4. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations for key stakeholders.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and data requirements.
  6. “Data as a Service”: be the primary point of contact, go-to person, and trusted partner for all research and data insights related needs in MEA.
  7. Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and industry developments to provide actionable insights.
  8. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategy and decision-making.
  9. Develop customer personas, journey maps, and segmentation models to enhance understanding of target audiences for base management activities.
  10. Aggregate data from partners across the region to assess performance and develop insights (e.g., affordability programs).
  11. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of campaigns, strategies, and initiatives (e.g., ROAS, ROI).
  12. Lead the engagement with the WW research team to obtain relevant market intelligence and insights in MEA.
  13. Provide sales and cross-functional teams with research and insights on demographics, macroeconomic, and market data.
  14. Produce a quarterly market share summary report with market share trends, insights, and opportunities.
  15. Benchmark country opportunities and performance from different angles: market shares, wealth metrics, base evolution, upgrade cycles, key mega trends, pre-paid vs post-paid customers evolution, payments landscape, in-house share trends.
  16. Run regular opportunity sizing studies at LOB/country/regional level.
  17. Engage with other WW hubs to assess data-driven best practices that could be implemented in the region.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years experience in a Business or Data Analytics role, ideally in Business Development, Strategy, Consulting or Data Science/Analytics practice.
  • Strong Excel knowledge with deep modelling capabilities.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau or equivalent).
  • Experience in data analytics roles in Digital, Affordability or CVM/Base Management would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL for querying databases is a plus.
  • Experience with statistical tools, programming, and machine learning (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • A team player that can easily interact across local and central teams.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
