Business Analyst Intern

A day in the life
As a business analyst intern you will be trained in one of our business intelligence, retail, or seller services teams. The internship provides an opportunity to learn and understand Amazon business processes, enhance analytical skills, and contribute to make significant business impact.
As an intern, you will be matched to a mentor. In addition to learning about an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with Amazonians for both personal and professional development, expand your network, and participate in activities with other interns throughout your internship. • Requirements Gathering:

  • Assist senior business analysts in collecting and documenting business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Help create user stories, functional specifications, or requirement documentation based on business needs.

• Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze data collected from various sources (e.g., surveys, interviews, or business systems) to help draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Generate reports and dashboards that summarize findings and support decision-making processes.

• Process Mapping and Documentation:

  • Support the mapping of business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement.
  • Document process changes, create flowcharts, and help design new processes or systems.

• Assist in Project Management Tasks:

  • Help manage and track project deliverables, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate between teams and stakeholders to ensure that the project is progressing according to schedule.

• Testing and Quality Assurance:

  • Assist in the testing of new systems or process changes, ensuring that they meet business requirements.
  • Help create test plans, execute test cases, and report bugs or issues.

• Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Participate in meetings and discussions with business stakeholders to understand their needs and gather feedback.
  • Communicate findings, updates, and action items to team members or supervisors.

• Market Research:

  • Conduct research to understand market trends, competitor strategies, and industry standards.
  • Assist in creating business cases or feasibility studies for new projects or initiatives.

• Assisting with Business Strategy:

  • Support business analysts in identifying opportunities for process improvements or cost savings.
