Fully understand Logistics & Fulfilment strategies, expected outcomes, deliverables, and value that needs to be generated from technology.
Work with the Logistics & Fulfilment Technology Lead (line manager) to shape the future technology and solution roadmap for Logistics & Fulfilment, identifying future potential enhancements to products/platforms that will drive business value.
Support the business to translate business requirements into technology requirements and recommend new capabilities/enhancements to be added to the backlog.
Ensure that Logistics solution requirements are defined, groomed, and planned effectively for DevSecOps delivery management.
Actively manage the operational activity of external vendors and delivery partners supporting solution design/build activity.
Manage the on-budget delivery of solution delivery efforts through close tracking of budget and forecast spend, proactively recommending opportunities to maximize the ROI of project budgets.
Proactively manage and mitigate delivery risks, ensuring prompt escalation and resolution.
Ensure the successful management of the service transition process from project to business-as-usual.
Work in close partnership with services colleagues to ensure that product issues are within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs), running costs are within plan, and work collaboratively to continually enhance product quality and avoid 'technical debt' (outdated technical components).
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Degree Educated, with 8-10 years post-graduate work experience working with Supply Chain and Logistics related solutions, preferably in a business-facing IT/Digital role.
Deep understanding of how Regional and Global Logistics networks operate both for B2B and D2C eCommerce and how technology can support optimization and improvement.
Demonstrated experience in implementing systems such as Transport Visibility, Carrier Management, Transport Management, and eCommerce fulfilment solutions.
Experience and appreciation for the Middle East would be preferable but not essential.
Experience delivering and managing complex solutions (multi-platform, multi-technology, 3rd parties) end-to-end (e.g., solution integration, data management, and effective cutover and release strategies).
Experience working with modern integration technologies is preferable (e.g., a good understanding of API design patterns and frameworks, microservices, API gateways, API security, etc.).
Awareness and understanding of Lean-Agile project management and solution development methodologies and frameworks e.g., DevOps and SAFe.
Experience in large regional/global organizations using in-sourced and out-sourced IT service providers.
