Business Analyst

D42 is implementing an ambitious program for systemic transformation, with flagship projects focusing on the development of a corporate data warehouse and an upgrade of all systems that constitute the data source landscape. We are looking to find a tenured Business Analyst to explore the What, How and Why of our current business operations then support in the implementation of What's Next with operational improvement and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess and Define the company's operational business model in terms of informational objects and the business processes that form them.
2. Conduct exploration of source systems to collect physical data, including prototyping results on the gathered data to verify correct interpretation.
3. Perform mapping of physical data to the theoretical analytical data model.
4. Interview business stakeholders to gather information for describing business processes and/or formulating requirements for the requested functionality.
5. Describe current and model target business processes using accepted notations (BPMN, UML, IDEF, etc.), conduct gap analysis, and document the results.
6. Develop a theoretical data model in terms of the ER model.
7. Describe the entity-attribute composition of business objects in terms of the subject area.
8. Explore source systems to locate data, applying prototyping of expected results to confirm correct interpretation.
9. Prototype data marts and reporting forms in systems for testing the quality of their development.
10. Map the entity-attribute composition of business objects to the physical data of source systems.
11. Develop a business glossary (business metadata) to describe data in terms of the subject area and agree on its correct interpretation with business owners.
12. Develop scenario packages for functional testing by users of the developed/implemented software.

Requirements:

1. At least 3 years of experience as a business analyst looking after specific Process Mapping, Optimization and Business Transformation
2. Experience working with databases, BI systems, ERP systems, and their implementation
3. Practical experience in composing user stories
4. Excellent knowledge of business process modeling notations
5. Good understanding of the components of FD and BRD documents
6. Strong SQL skills (minimum: creating and modifying tables in databases, data selection, table linking)
7. Knowledge of Python, R would be an advantage
8. Ability to find constructive and productive solutions for complex issues related to implementing new business processes, data management, and ensuring data quality
