Tour Bus Driver Job Duties
A tour bus driver typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
· Explaining tourist attractions, landmarks, and activities in the area to passengers during the ride
· Providing suggestions for local restaurants and attractions to passengers
· Greeting passengers at pickup locations and helping them onto the bus
· Operating a tour bus according to a schedule, including driving, picking up passengers at designated locations, and dropping them off at their final destination
· Maintaining accurate records of fuel usage, miles driven, and other pertinent information about each bus’s operation
· Transporting passengers in an orderly fashion and following all traffic laws and regulations
· Driving a bus with a group of passengers on a scheduled route, such as a tour of a city or a trip to a national park
· Explaining local customs, points of interest, and rules of conduct on the bus to passengers, as well as providing any other services required by passengers during the trip
· Providing assistance to passengers with disabilities by helping them board the bus and assisting them with seating arrangements
