Boiler Operator

Job Description

We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Maintenance professionals who pride themselves on their ability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service and provide creative solutions to our guests.

As a Boiler Operator, you are responsible for operating or maintaining stationary engines, boilers, and other mechanical equipment to provide utilities for buildings and/or industrial processes. Your role will include key responsibilities such as:

1. Attend to boilers and equipment to supply and maintain steam or heat for buildings, marine vessels, or operation of pneumatic tools.
2. Record test results on specified forms and provide information to Superiors.
3. Test sample quality by using testing devices to ensure it meets specifications.
4. Operate, control, and observe gauges to regulate heat and steam to ensure the machine is functioning properly.
5. Obtain samples from designated locations on the boiler and carry samples to the testing laboratory.
6. Recognize, detect, or assess problems through monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment.
7. Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot problems that can be resolved.
8. Suggest and recommend ideas for the improvement of maintenance and performance of the equipment.

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should ideally be a licensed high/low pressure boiler operator with previous experience in a similar role and a proven knowledge of the operation of equipment such as steam engines, generators, motors, turbines, and/or steam boilers. A good command of English and the ability to find faults and rectify subsystems are essential.
