Job Description:
As a Boat Mechanic at Secure Establishment, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of boat engines and systems. This includes both inboard and outboard engines, electrical systems, plumbing, and other marine mechanical components. You will work with a team of skilled technicians to ensure that our clients' vessels are in optimal working condition for safety, reliability, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of boat engines (inboard, outboard, and stern drive).
- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, fuel system inspections, and more.
- Repair and replace electrical systems, fuel systems, exhaust systems, and other mechanical parts.
- Inspect boats for mechanical problems and identify solutions to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep detailed records of all services performed.
- Communicate with customers about their boat’s needs and offer maintenance or repair recommendations.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and marine technology advancements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Boat Mechanic or Marine Technician (at least [X] years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of boat engines, electrical systems, and marine mechanics.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems in boats.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, especially with customers.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to transport boats to and from job sites (if applicable).
- Relevant certifications in marine technology (e.g., ASE, Yamaha, Mercury, etc.) are a plus.
