BMS and Sustainability Supervisor

As a Sustainability Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and optimization of building systems while promoting and implementing sustainability practices. This role bridges operational excellence with eco-friendly strategies to maintain a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible facility.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Building Maintenance System Management
2. Sustainability Implementation
3. BMS Operations to all Properties
4. Supporting our Force for Good Sustainability Program
5. Be accountable for ensuring our properties and our utilities are operated as efficiently and as optimized as possible
6. Provide our properties with necessary support (remote and onsite) to ensure our HVAC systems and heavy equipment are operating correctly and efficiently
7. Support our teams and drive for efficiency within our maintenance strategies while supporting the overall vision and objectives.
8. Actively collaborate with all company functions and ensure adherence to all company policies, processes, standards, and legal requirements
9. Ensure that external contractors/third parties providing services to a Premier Inn site are following safe working practices in line with brand standards and local regulations
10. Drive energy conservation and minimize the hotel’s utility consumption while maintaining first-class customer service.
11. Develop initiatives for efficiency and energy improvements
12. Inspire, lead, coach, manage, and develop a team to be the best they can be, creating a culture of engagement that supports our core values and principles.

Requirements

Education & Certifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
2. Certification in energy management, HVAC systems, or sustainability (e.g., CEM, LEED AP) is a plus.

Experience

1. 3 years of experience in BMS management, Mechanical HVAC support, or Sustainability roles.
2. Hands-on experience with Building Management Systems (BMS).
3. Proven track record of implementing sustainability initiatives.

Skills & Competencies

1. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
2. Proficiency in analyzing utility data and proposing energy-saving measures.
3. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
4. Strong communication skills to work effectively with teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
5. Familiarity with green building standards and regulations.
6. UAE driving License is a must.
