Biology Teacher

The Biology Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and curriculum-aligned instruction in biological sciences to students at the secondary or higher secondary level. This role includes planning lessons, conducting laboratory activities, assessing student performance, and promoting scientific curiosity in a classroom environment that aligns with UAE educational standards. The teacher plays a vital role in preparing students for academic success while fostering critical thinking and ethical scientific inquiry.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing and delivering comprehensive biology lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and UAE education authority guidelines.
2. Preparing and supervising laboratory experiments to enhance students' practical understanding of biological concepts.
3. Creating lesson plans, assignments, and assessments to evaluate student performance and progress.
4. Incorporating digital tools, models, and visual aids to make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging.
5. Maintaining a safe and well-organized laboratory environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
6. Encouraging student participation in science fairs, projects, and extracurricular learning opportunities.
7. Providing academic support and mentorship to students with varying levels of ability and interest.
8. Collaborating with colleagues, school administrators, and parents to support student development and school initiatives.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or Science Education; a teaching qualification such as B.Ed. or PGCE is required.
2. Minimum of 2-4 years of teaching experience, preferably in the UAE or an international school environment.
3. Familiarity with British, American, and UAE Ministry of Education curricula.
4. Strong command of scientific content and ability to simplify complex biological concepts for young learners.
5. Proficiency in using educational technology and interactive teaching tools.
6. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
7. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
