BIM TECHNICIAN
Job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain Building Information Models (BIM) using software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or AutoCAD Architecture.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop detailed architectural models for construction projects.
- Generate accurate 3D models, plans, sections, and elevations based on design drawings and specifications.
- Ensure BIM models comply with industry standards, building codes, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (MEP, structural, etc.) to integrate architectural components into the overall building model.
- Assist in clash detection and resolution during the coordination process to mitigate design conflicts.
- Produce construction documents, including drawings, schedules, and specifications, from BIM models.
- Provide support and training to project team members on BIM software and workflows.
- Stay updated on BIM technology advancements and best practices to improve modeling efficiency and productivity.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to address design issues, meet deadlines, and achieve project goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD, or AutoCAD Architecture.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction documentation.
- Experience in creating and managing BIM models for architectural projects.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations related to architectural design.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in BIM software and technologies are a plus.
