BIM Operator

The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the Job Accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary.

1. Assist technical staff with surveys and inspections on site.
2. Prepares CAD drawings and assists with general CAD office duties.
3. Work with minimum supervision.
4. May provide guidance to Trainee CAD Technicians.
5. Complete timesheets on a daily basis, allocating time correctly against job.
6. Understand the specific project time constraints.
7. Gain awareness and understanding of the IMS procedures, their importance and their application to projects.
8. Understand and implement the Company’s Health and Safety Policy as prescribed in IMS.

Specific skills required

1. BIM Experience is essential.
2. Working knowledge of other computer related functions including MS Office and others.
3. Experience working with Bentley ProjectWise or other CAD file management software a plus.
4. Strong personality to be able to enforce the CAD standards and to effectively manage his CAD Drafters.
5. Emphasize that the position is for a CAD manager/designer who can provide guidance to his CAD Drafters and as a result reduce the load on the project engineers.

2. Ability to work well with others and lead less experienced CAD Staff.

Experience

Good understanding of the following CAD Standards:

1. Layouts & Details.
2. STD Details.
3. P & ID STD symbols.
4. X-reference and models names.

Good knowledge in the following software:

1. Acad2012 and latest version.
2. Acad Civil 3D an advantage.
