Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented BIM Modeler (Utilities) to join our team! In this role you will get to create detailed documented records and maintain them to ensure clarity of the process and outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Support the Design and Project Delivery Team(s) in day-to-day BIM implementation activities.
2. Collaborate and coordinate with the BIM Manager for design changes and model challenges.
3. Develop Civil3D Templates, pipe parts, structures and smart blocks.
4. Develop alignments, profiles, pipe networks (pressure and gravity) and become familiar with creating and consuming Data shortcuts.
5. Develop production template/title blocks.
6. Perform cut & fill analysis and extract quantities from the models.
7. Support the setup, development, configuration, and establishment of the Common Data Environment (CDE) for project use.
8. Perform as gatekeeper for CDE (ProjectWise and ACC) for their disciplines.
9. Develop and maintain Quality Assurance and Control templates following the organization's and Project’s quality procedures and the Project's BIM production methods and standards.
10. Measure and ensure the highest quality for all BIM package submissions in accordance with Project standards and requirements.
11. Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks on models and maintain tracker (both hard and soft copies) to confirm geometrical and non-geometrical information compliance with the Project's design and BIM requirements.
12. Review, monitor and report on the development of clash interference and fully coordinated models.
13. Conduct clash detection and visual walkthroughs.
14. Prepare own discipline model and/or content for internal reviews and coordination meetings.
15. Collaborate and coordinate with the BIM Manager for design changes and model challenges.
16. Prepare models and reports for constructability analysis.
17. Validate and export model geometry and data to schedules for internal design and commercial activities.
18. Perform Quality Assurance and Control checks and report deviations of installation with approved coordinated models.
19. Monitor, perform quality checks and report on the quality of as-built models.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering from an accredited institution.
2. Minimum 3 to 8 years’ experience with in-depth working knowledge of BIM delivery projects.
3. Infrastructure projects with utility modelling experience is an added advantage.
4. Knowledge of BIM codes and Standards (ISO19650, PAS1192-2, BS1192).
5. Knowledge of General BIM Model requirements (i.e., LOD, Naming convention, parametric modeling, etc.)
6. Able to demonstrate (skill assessment) ability to set up new Civil 3D project files for the team; demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and multitasking ability; produce Civil 3D models according to project requirements.
