BIM Coordinator (Site)

The Role
Our Global Architectural Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well-experienced Senior Site Architect / BIM Coordinator to join their team in Dubai to work on new high-rise tower projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Site Architect / BIM Coordinator on major high-rise projects in the UAE or wider GCC. Candidates must have strong BIM coordination and design review skills and have worked for a recognised architectural and design consultancy client in a supervision role as site architect. This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire permanent opportunity employed by our client.

Responsibilities
The BIM Coordinator (Site based) will work closely with the Client's design team to assist and support in developing and producing designs for the project site to ensure designs are developed and implemented to approved codes and standards.

1. Works under general supervision performing advanced technical work utilizing a wide variety of resources, including computers.
2. Responsible for a high-rise tower project.
3. May train and supervise workflow.
4. Undertakes and manages allocated CAD production and other technical work tasks to agreed deadlines, and standards (industry & project), and in accordance with the project plan.
5. Conduct quality checks for drawings to ensure proper standards have been followed, plans have north arrows, proper legends are incorporated, cover sheet is created and up-to-date, index of drawings.
6. Define and agree the data classification structure/parameters to be used enabling scheduling of relevant information and creation of information rich components, assemblies and systems for the purpose of cost estimation, construction and asset management.
7. Create collaborative models and lead ‘design review’ meetings, ‘walking’ through the model, creating ‘saved views’ and identifying potential conflicts if not executed by discipline leads.
8. Transfer modelling content from one party to another.
9. Validate the level of detail and controls as defined for each project phase.
10. Validate modelling content during each phase.
11. Prepare quantity take-offs, visualisations, schedule of quantities.
12. Support the development and coordination of the constructability and schedule simulation model.
13. Upload native BIM files, IFCs and XLS data to the project BIM Data.
14. Develop and maintain BIM object library throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements
Site BIM Coordinator Experience:

1. Minimum 10-12 years overall experience.
2. Strong proficiency in Revit & BIM Software.
3. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
4. Previous experience of working in a recognised Design and Engineering Consultancy.
5. Strong Site-based experience working on large scale, high-rise tower projects in a design review and supervision capacity.
6. Experience of handling multiple concurrent projects.
7. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
