Job description

Job Purpose

The Sr. Manager will play a crucial role in driving revenue by identifying expansion opportunities and ensuring renewals for existing commercial deals. Key to this is implementing innovative growth strategies to increase revenue in each channel, delivering the right mix and proposition (based on each Category / Market / Competitor / Opportunity). This role covers two major functions:

  1. New Business Development: Deliver new and fresh opportunities for monetizing services that are not associated with premium subscription products.
  2. Strategic Partnership: Develop strategic campaigns to leverage existing and/or new business opportunities for OSNtv, including strategic initiatives that are project-based to contribute to business growth and expansion.

This role requires the ability to reach out to potential partners from different industries, create a plan, negotiate, initiate, and execute. It is best suited to someone who is a self-starter, team player, with clear communication both internally and externally, requiring planning, negotiation, and persuasion across all levels and areas of the business.

Key Accountabilities

Managing and Measuring Work:

  • Clearly assign responsibility for tasks and decisions; set clear objectives and measures; monitor process, progress, and results; design feedback loops into work.

Business Development:

  • Instigate, negotiate, and oversee strategic initiatives with Partners across the region to grow the customer base and revenue.
  • Enhance brand awareness and user engagement; plan and organize campaigns, such as community activities, festival campaigns, and long-term incentive programs.
  • Create RFPs, proposals, and contracts to acquire new partners efficiently and effectively.
  • Work closely with the product, technology, and creative teams to align marketing activities and product development.

Key Account Management:

  • Proactively manage the entire business relationship with Partners, acting as a key liaison in all areas of day-to-day operations, including but not limited to facilitating technical support, drafting legal agreements, building business cases, managing sales/marketing initiatives, and following up on financial reports and payments.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the community while collaborating with the marketing and sales teams to align all community expectations.
  • Regularly engage with stakeholders across the business, presenting and advocating for outcomes and conclusions of work with senior executives.
  • Conduct research and strategic analysis of potential targets, as needed, to inform due diligence and valuation.
  • Investigate underperforming Accounts and adapt strategies to support sales and retention through CRM and CVM campaigns. Drive best practices by developing a clear strategy for customer engagement, operational execution, and commercial excellence.

Negotiation:

  • Lead deal opportunities across all deal stages.
  • Represent OSN in key customer and partner interactions and recommend deal structures, leveraging experience to articulate key deal terms.
  • Collaborate proactively to close opportunities and scale the business.
  • Identify opportunities for customized approaches and manage executive escalations.
  • Manage stakeholders to gain consensus and ensure internal alignment.

Growth and Marketing:

  • Develop and implement a yearly sales, marketing, and key projects plan across partners to maximize awareness of value offers and products, drive new subscriptions, improve customer retention levels, and grow revenues.
  • Projects include implementing promotional activities, leveraging marketing/product messages through partners’ customer touchpoints, and facilitating product training.
  • Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to drive user adoption and revenue.
  • Formulate and execute effective go-to-market plans.
  • Monitor metrics and develop actionable insights to improve efficiency and performance.

Performance Measurement and Financial Reporting:

  • Measure and monitor the performance of ongoing initiatives and projects.
  • Report monthly subscriber growth while ensuring that data and sales figures are accurate and aligned with contractual agreements in place.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy, including market positioning, user acquisition, retention, and brand promotion.
  • Execute marketing campaigns using various channels and strategies to attract new users and keep existing users active.
  • Analyze market trends and user data to optimize growth strategies and marketing activities continually.
  • Lead data-driven campaigns and product positioning rooted in deep customer and market understanding across all marketing channels, including CRM, digital, social media, performance marketing, and affiliate marketing.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fluent in both Arabic and English (spoken and written); both languages are a must.
