Job Title: BI Engineer – Power BI

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated BI Engineer specializing in Power BI to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will transform raw data into meaningful insights, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Modeling and Visualization:
   1. Design and develop efficient data models for Power BI dashboards and reports.
   2. Create interactive, visually appealing, and user-friendly Power BI dashboards that provide actionable insights.
2. Data Integration:
   1. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI.
   2. Integrate data from multiple databases, APIs, and other sources to create comprehensive datasets.
3. Report Development:
   1. Develop and maintain operational and ad-hoc reports for stakeholders.
   2. Ensure the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of reporting outputs.
4. Collaboration:
   1. Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs.
   2. Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and IT teams to deliver end-to-end BI solutions.
5. Optimization and Maintenance:
   1. Optimize Power BI dashboards for performance and scalability.
   2. Maintain and troubleshoot existing BI solutions to ensure continuous functionality.
6. Data Governance:
   1. Adhere to data governance policies and best practices.
   2. Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications And Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
3. Strong proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query.
4. Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
5. Knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database).
2. Knowledge of other BI tools like Tableau or QlikView.
3. Understanding of big data technologies and data warehousing concepts.
