Overview of the role
The Beauty Specialist/Makeup Specialist will play a key role in enhancing the beauty experience for our customers by providing expert makeup consultations, product recommendations, and demonstrations. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of makeup techniques, products, and trends, particularly those relevant to the Middle Eastern market. This role requires a dynamic and customer-focused individual who can provide exceptional service and foster long-term customer relationships.
What you will do
- Supports selling plans to deliver sales budget
- Carry out planogram and price change and maintain store appearance and merchandising standards
- Monitor stock level & ensure regular replenishment of stocks
- Conduct makeovers for customers
- Ensure proper safekeeping of all store merchandise to prevent shoplifting, damages and pilferages.
- Monitor and update reports on product shelf life
- Consolidate frequently asked products and recommend new SKUs to the Store Manager and submit to Program Lead.
- Consolidate customer profiles in relation to customer queries, concerns and submit to Store Manager.
- Recommend category building activities (e.g. animations, hair and skin analysis, make over etc.)
- Recommend relocation and meter reallocation of product display relevant to store customer profile and category performance analysis.
- Provide information to customers on regimen building
Commercial
- Monitor and deliver 100% Brand Product availability
- Monitor replenishments of stocks and product housekeeping in the selling area.
- Clean and maintain makeup applicators and tools.
- Ensure highlighting and cross-selling of EXCLUSIVE products on planograms and Off Shelf Displays related to product use.
- Check proper implementation of promo call outs, hero display, price change etc.
- Attend to customers complaints with sincerity and understanding.
- Handle customer queries on beauty & skincare product knowledge and offer advice professionally aligned with the Brand of Service Standards.
- Follow through on customer’s feedback and requests
- Conduct personalized makeup consultations, including color matching, skin type assessment, and style preferences.
- Provide expert recommendations on makeup products and techniques suited to individual needs and occasions.
- Demonstrate product application techniques, including foundation, eye makeup, and contouring, to educate customers on achieving desired looks.
Process
- Align with Store Manager on submission of sales tracker
- Maintain adherence to planogram implementation.
- Ensure all products displayed in the selling area are in good condition; near expiry and damaged products are pulled out from the selling area.
People
- Plan and monitor Personal Development Plans in role development interventions.
- Ensure timely submission of Performance Review
- Implement action plans for employee engagements.
- Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures (Code of Conduct, ROS, Data Governance).

What equips you for the role
Education: Certification or diploma in makeup artistry, cosmetology, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum Experience and Knowledge: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in makeup application, beauty retail, or a similar role, and team management. Must have extensive knowledge of makeup products, tools, and techniques, including an understanding of different skin types and tones, particularly those common in the Middle East.
