Roles and responsibilities

The Beauty Advisor will be responsible for promoting the Company and brand through effective sales and excellent customer service, by identifying customer needs and demonstrating in-depth product knowledge. To be aware of and achieve sales targets in line with Company policies and guidelines.

ROLE PROFILE

  1. Greet and serve all customers, demonstrating excellent customer service as per brand standards.
  2. Deal effectively with customer concerns and ensure timely and effective resolution.
  3. Achieve sales targets in line with Company guidelines.
  4. Identify customer needs by asking open-ended questions, using product knowledge to make recommendations, and taking opportunities to suggest add-on sales appropriately.
  5. Ensure awareness and understanding of product range knowledge, and in-store promotion details, sharing the information with customers to encourage sales.
  6. Responsible for opening, closing, and operating the cash registers at the start or end of the business trading day; perform tasks including but not limited to receiving payments in all authorized modes, issuing receipts/bills against payments, and counting.
  7. Ensure store opening checklists are completed in a timely manner, with responsibility for all stock availability, records of the same, and timely replenishment.
  8. Contribute and support the business in achieving the Dare Today, Change Tomorrow sustainability strategy.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. High School Certificate
  2. Minimum 1-2 years industry experience
  3. Customer service skills
  4. Selling Skills
  5. Beauty products & skin care expertise

Product Knowledge

  1. Skincare and Makeup Expertise: Understanding skin types, makeup techniques, and product compatibility.
  2. Haircare and Fragrance Knowledge: Advising on hair treatments, fragrances, and styling products.
  3. Brand Familiarity: Staying updated on the features, benefits, and differences of various beauty brands.

Customer Service Skills

  1. Active Listening: Understanding customer needs and preferences.
  2. Personalized Recommendations: Suggesting products based on individual requirements.
  3. Problem-Solving: Addressing complaints or concerns about product use or results.

Sales and Marketing Skills

  1. Upselling and Cross-Selling: Promoting complementary products or bundles.
  2. Achieving Sales Targets: Driving revenue through effective customer interactions.
  3. Promotional Knowledge: Informing customers about discounts, offers, and loyalty programs.

Technical Skills

  1. Makeup Application: Demonstrating techniques like contouring, highlighting, or blending.
  2. Skincare Demonstration: Showing customers how to use skincare routines effectively.
  3. Technology Use: Operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and maintaining digital customer records.

Interpersonal Skills

  1. Empathy: Understanding and addressing customers’ beauty concerns.
  2. Confidence and Charisma: Building trust with clients to enhance their shopping experience.
  3. Communication: Explaining product benefits and usage clearly.

Trend Awareness

  1. Keeping up with industry trends, new product launches, and beauty techniques.
  2. Sharing insights about popular looks or innovative products.
