Job description

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and personable Bartender to join our Drift F&B team at One&Only Royal Mirage Hotel in Dubai. The Bartender will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional guest service, and maintaining the bar's standards of operation. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, luxury environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
  2. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  3. Manage inventory, restock supplies, and monitor usage to prevent wastage.
  4. Interact with guests, taking orders and offering recommendations based on menu knowledge and guest preferences.
  5. Collaborate with the F&B team to create new cocktails and drink offerings for special events and promotions.
  6. Handle customer complaints or issues with professionalism and escalate matters to the Head Bartender when necessary.
  7. Ensure that all beverages are served within the set timeframes and adhere to the resort’s high standards of hospitality.
  8. Assist in training junior bar staff and ensure that all team members follow the bar’s operating procedures.
  9. Participate in regular team meetings, offering feedback and suggestions for improving service and efficiency.
  10. Comply with all licensing regulations and ensure responsible service of alcohol.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end hospitality environment.
  2. Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktails, wine, and spirits.
  3. Excellent verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
  4. Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  6. High level of personal grooming and presentation standards.
  7. Knowledge of inventory management and cost control practices.
  8. A passion for delivering high-quality guest service and enhancing the overall guest experience.

Level of Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in bartending or hospitality management is preferred.

Work Hours:

Full-time with flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Experience in Months:

A minimum of 12 to 24 months of experience in a similar role.
