Create, inspire, and conceptualize the beverage menus in alignment with the overall direction by the brand and ensure that menus are up to date.
Ensure that all beverage service standards and sequences of services are being followed and adhered to by the staff.
Monitor and adjust the schedules for the staff in close coordination with the General Manager, in order to meet demand and customer service expectations.
Manage and achieve the budgets that are determined for the beverage department.
Forecast and keep track of which drinks are most in demand and establish creative techniques to motivate the bar team to increase the sales revenue of the bar.
Ensure that all beverage products served meet the established specifications and standards.
Ensure implementation of area sanitation standards.
Review cost increases, communicate with suppliers to review charges, and apply strategies to lower costs when possible.
Empower employees to provide excellent customer service.
Ensure that adequate stock and equipment is available before and during service.
Ensure that all beverage equipment is operated safely and with reasonable care, reporting mechanical problems for repair.
Manage the staff through coaching and training, in order to improve performance and to achieve the department’s objectives and targets.
Provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback to subordinates to support their overall development.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in a high-volume, resort experience preferred.
Working knowledge of all aspects of beverage operations.
