Job Title: Bakery Equipment Maintenance Technician

Department: Production

Reports To: Production Manager/Supervisor

Summary:

The Bakery & Pastry Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various bakery and pastry equipment, including dough making machines, ovens, sheeter machines, packing machines, and Saltek Automatic machine. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Perform preventative maintenance checks and repairs on all bakery equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identifying and resolving issues promptly.
3. Repair and replace worn or damaged parts, including motors, bearings, sensors, and controls.
4. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
5. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
6. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
7. Train production staff on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
8. Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize equipment efficiency.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
10. Comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
11. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills.

Qualifications:

1. Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in maintaining and repairing bakery equipment.
3. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
5. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
9. Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
10. Valid UAE light driving license will be a plus point.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
