Job Summary:

We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling transactions efficiently, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring an excellent shopping experience. This role requires strong customer service skills, accuracy in cash handling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greet customers, answer their questions, assist them in locating products, and provide recommendations.

2. Operate scanners, cash registers, scales, and other point-of-sale (POS) equipment.

3. Balance the cash register and generate reports for credit and debit sales.

4. Process payments, ensuring price accuracy and issuing receipts to customers.

5. Handle refunds, exchanges, and resolve customer complaints professionally.

6. Bag or wrap purchases to ensure safe transport for customers.

7. Follow store policies regarding coupons, gift cards, and the sale of restricted items (e.g., alcohol, cigarettes).

8. Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.

Skills & Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a Cashier, Retail Associate, or in Customer Service is a plus.

2. Strong math skills and attention to detail.

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

4. Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

5. Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures.

6. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
