Job Overview

As the PetHQ Manager (The Petshop's B2B distribution entity), you will be responsible for leading and expanding our B2B division, overseeing sales growth, process optimization, and system improvements to ensure the business meets and exceeds its commercial targets. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in B2B sales, team management, and trade marketing within a distributor environment. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue, building relationships with key customers, and optimizing ways of working to enhance efficiency and profitability. Job Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales growth

  1. Map the pet market in the UAE to identify potential customers.
  2. Segment customers based on their business type and size.
  3. Build plans to reach each type of customer differently, defining an effective approach to opening new doors.
  4. Develop and execute monthly plans to grow the B2B business, expanding our customer base and increasing market penetration, also to grow the assortment within each customer.
  5. Drive revenue growth by acquiring new B2B customers and strengthening partnerships with existing accounts.
  6. Identify and implement improvements in sales processes, systems, and operational workflows.
  7. Ensure the customer base is visited in line with agreed call plan and schedule, that best meets customer needs and demand.
  8. Ensure effective supply chain coordination along with internal teams to meet customer demand.
  9. Act as the first point of contact with potential customers and actual customers for any issues relating to our products or services within the area.
  10. Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize the satisfaction of the retailer.
  11. Ensure proper tracking and timely collection of payments.

Planning & Reporting

  1. Set up forecasts and targets by customer and brand to drive sales growth.
  2. Develop and execute customer onboarding and acquisition strategies for different customer segments (specialty retailers, boarding/daycare, vet clinics, etc.).
  3. Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including revenue growth and sales funnel (leads generation, visits, strike rate, customer acquisition).
  4. Ensure data-driven decision-making through accurate and timely reporting on sales and market trends.
  5. Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to inform business strategy.

Trade Marketing & Customer Engagement

  1. Develop and implement trade marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
  2. Negotiate and manage contracts/agreements with customers for the placement of displays and promotions.
  3. Collaborate with marketing and category teams to create compelling B2B materials (catalogue, POSM) to promote our range to customers.
  4. Establish strong relationships with key accounts and industry stakeholders.
  5. Act as the primary point of contact for high-value customers, ensuring exceptional service and support.

Team Building & Leadership

  1. Lead, mentor, and develop the B2B sales team to enhance performance and drive results.
  2. Set clear goals, KPIs, and performance expectations for the team.
  3. Foster a high-performance sales culture through coaching and continuous development.
  4. Build a collaborative work environment that aligns with company values and objectives.

Key Requirements

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in distribution business.
  2. Proven experience in B2B sales leadership, preferably within the pet supplies or FMCG distribution industry.
  3. Strong understanding of trade marketing and distributor operations.
  4. Demonstrated ability to drive business growth through sales strategies and process improvements.
  5. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  6. Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and communication abilities.
  7. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  8. Self-motivated and target-driven with a demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  9. UAE Drivers License is required.
