AWS Data Architect Data Lake SAP

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect to design and implement an AWS Data Lake solution for managing data from our SAP ERP systems to support FP&A processes in Anaplan. This hybrid role allows the candidate to work in Pakistan (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad) with the flexibility to work remotely and onsite as needed. Additionally, the resource must be open to short-term travel to Dubai to support local teams during critical events.

Key Responsibilities

• AWS Data Lake Architecture: Design and implement a scalable AWS Data Lake solution to efficiently store, manage, and process large volumes of data.
• Data Integration: Build and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from SAP ERP systems into the Data Lake.
• Support for FP&A in Anaplan: Enable seamless data integration and synchronization to facilitate financial planning and analysis processes in Anaplan.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Optimize AWS environments for cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance.
• Data Governance and Security: Establish and enforce best practices for data security, compliance, and governance across the Data Lake.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, SAP specialists, and Anaplan consultants to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Onsite Event Support in Dubai: Provide in-person support in Dubai for critical team events and milestones when required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 8 years in Data Architecture and Engineering roles.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing AWS Data Lake solutions.
  • Strong expertise in integrating SAP ERP data.
  • Hands-on experience supporting FP&A processes, particularly in Anaplan.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Expertise in AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, and Kinesis.
  • Proficiency in ETL frameworks like AWS Glue or Apache NiFi.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP data structures and integration methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in Python, SQL, and other programming/scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in hybrid environments and adapt to changing business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Data Analytics Specialty, or related certifications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
• Experience with advanced data security practices and compliance frameworks.

Job Location

• Hybrid: Based in Pakistan (Lahore, Karachi, or Islamabad).
• Open to remote work with periodic onsite collaboration.
• Travel: Short-term travel to Dubai for critical events or team support when required.
