Job description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Reviewing the Airport Master Plan Update and working with the Client Master Planner to ensure the document supports the short term and long-range aviation requirements.
  • Participating in the review of project definition documents for the Terminal Area, Airside, Landside packages.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for aviation projects.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive aviation plans and strategies.
  • Maintaining the Airport Master Plan requirements, reviewing design submittals as part of the design review efforts.
  • Engage in reviewing proposed design and Master Plan changes to assess the impacts of the changes.
  • Support business strategy development and preparation of marketing plans.
  • Review work produced by those assigned to ensure that all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations are followed, that current techniques are utilized, and that quality is acceptable.

Here's what you'll need

As a successful candidate you will have a degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture or equivalent, registration as a Professional/Chartered Engineer is preferred and you will have a proven experience as a technical professional on projects. You will also possess-

  • At least 10 years’ experience with aviation planning projects
  • Experience working on large aviation (or similar) projects is required
  • Must demonstrate experience with terminal and airfield planning issues
  • Knowledge of airside and landside design, planning aspects and facilities (terminals) is preferred
  • Experience working in, and leading multi-disciplinary teams is required

  7. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations affecting airport planning and development.

  8. Public Engagement: Skills in facilitating community outreach and stakeholder engagement to gather input and address concerns related to airport projects.

  9. Environmental Awareness: Understanding of environmental planning principles and the ability to assess and mitigate impacts related to airport development.

  10. Technical Proficiency: Experience with planning software and tools (e.g., GIS, airport modeling software) to support data analysis and visualization.
