Automotive Technician

We are looking for an Automotive technician/Vehicle Inspection Technician for our pre-purchasing inspection company in Sharjah. The Technician is responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to ensure they are safe, functional, and compliant with regulations. This role requires a keen eye for detail, solid mechanical knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Job Location: Sharjah

Salary: AED 3,500 + Incentives + Accommodation (Visa and Insurance)

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and scheduled vehicle inspections according to local, state, and federal regulations.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, and exhaust systems.
• Inspect vehicles for safety features, emissions compliance, and mechanical performance.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to identify issues or needed repairs.
• Recommend necessary repairs and replacements based on inspection findings.
• Test drive vehicles to assess performance and ensure repairs meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and services provided.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and safety regulations.
• Provide customer service by explaining findings and repairs in a clear and professional manner.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, vehicle technology, and repair techniques.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Work as part of a team to achieve performance goals and customer satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary automotive technician training is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license (a required prerequisite for this role, as it may involve test driving vehicles or performing road tests).
• Proven experience as an automotive technician or vehicle inspection technician.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair various vehicle systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools used in vehicle inspections and repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Knowledge of current environmental regulations and emission standards.
• Experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models.
