Automation Specialist - IT

Job Description

The Automation Specialist, being a specialist in RPA and Digitization, will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of robotic process automation (RPA) solutions to streamline business processes. This role will also focus on the digitization of business processes, ensuring that manual tasks are automated and optimized for efficiency. The specialist will collaborate with the IT Business Analysts and key subject-matter-experts from various departments, to build on the identified automation opportunities.

RPA Automation:

1. Collaborate with IT Business Analysts and Business stakeholders to gather detailed requirements for automation and digitization projects.
2. Design, develop, and deploy RPA bots to automate repetitive tasks.
3. Monitor and maintain RPA solutions to ensure smooth operation and performance.

Business Process Digitization:

1. Assess current business processes and identify opportunities for digitization.
2. Implement digitization strategies to convert manual processes into automated workflows.
3. Ensure digitized processes align with business objectives and improve operational efficiency.

Solution Design and Development:

1. Develop detailed process maps and automation workflows.
2. Utilize RPA tools to create and test automation scripts.
3. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and comply with company standards.

Project Management of Automation Projects:

1. Manage automation and digitization projects from inception to completion.
2. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
3. Conduct regular project status updates and report progress to stakeholders.

Training and Support of internal staff:

1. Provide training to end-users on new automated processes.
2. Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for deployed RPA solutions.
3. Create and maintain documentation for all automation and digitization projects.

IT Policies and IT Processes impacted/addressed by this position:

1. Data Security Policy: Ensuring compliance with data protection and security guidelines.
2. Change Management Policy: Following procedures for managing changes in technology and processes.
3. Business Continuity Policy: Supporting business continuity planning and disaster recovery processes.
4. IT Incident Management: Participating in the resolution of IT incidents that involve RPA and digitization solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
• Certification in RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) preferred.
• Training in business process management and digitization methodologies.

Additional Information

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in RPA development and implementation. Proven experience in technology transformation and automation projects. Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders. Experience in managing client presentations, Experience in project management and delivering automation projects.

Skills & Abilities: Strong know-how of automation methodologies, software and tools: UiPath or Automation Anywhere Python, JS, ReactJS SQL / MySQL Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills.
