AutoCad Technical Designer Freelance - Electra Events amp Exhibitions

Under the guidance of the Head of Design and On site PM, the Technical Designer will ensure drawings and project details deliverables are aligned to client expectations and executed within budget and timescales. The Technical Designer will also assist other team members with his knowledge and by providing them development feedback.

Main Accountabilities:

• Following specifications and architecture drawings to create various shop drawings.
• Candidates will be required to work onsite in Abu Dhabi.
• Liaise with Project Managers to gather product and structural requirements and designs.
• Highly proficient in Autocad.
• Proven work experience as an interior fitout draftsman.
• Advanced museum steel structure and showcases knowledge.
• Prepare a full drawings package including but not limited to: joinery drawings, as-built RCP, coordinate between different suppliers' drawings.
• Ensure all modeling activities are performed per company procedure & process.
• Organized and can track and document project phases and revisions.
• Help to create as-built drawings on site.
• Adhere to site conditions and HSE policy.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in fitout shop drawings, retail architecture.
• Bachelor's degree or high diploma from a reputable art college in architecture or interior design.
• Knowledge in shop drawings, joinery, steel structure, museography.
• Architecture, fitout, interior design, or retail design certification.
• Highly proficient in Autocad.
• Knowledgeable of fabrication methods, carpentry, steel, CNC design, ergonomics, retail fit-out.
• Be a team player, accountable, and actively participate in brainstorming sessions, keen to contribute ideas.
• Ability to handle projects with high detailed fabrication drawings.
