AutoCAD Draughtsman Civil

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop detailed civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
2. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand design concepts, incorporating feedback to enhance accuracy in drawings.
3. Prepare site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts while considering site conditions and applicable zoning regulations.
4. Conduct regular quality checks and revisions of drawings to ensure precision and adherence to client expectations.
5. Maintain organized documentation and version control of all drawings and related project documents for easy retrieval.
6. Assist in preparing material take-offs and quantity estimates from drawings to support project budgeting.
7. Participate in site visits to gather field data and verify design feasibility, making adjustments as necessary.
8. Utilize advanced AutoCAD features, such as 3D modeling, to create realistic representations of civil projects.
9. Provide technical support to construction teams by clarifying drawings and addressing any discrepancies on-site.
10. Stay updated on industry trends and software enhancements to continually improve drafting skills and efficiency.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, providing a strong foundation in engineering principles.
2. At least 3 years of experience in civil drafting, showcasing a proven track record in similar projects.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with other design software like Civil 3D or Revit to enhance productivity.
4. Certification in AutoCAD or equivalent demonstrates a commitment to professional development and industry standards.
