AutoCAD Draftsman

Full job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD draftsman to join our team. The AutoCAD draftsman will be responsible for creating lighting layouts and electrical layouts based on our designer and project managers' instructions.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate closely with architects, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
2. Create detailed CAD drawings based on architectural plans, elevations, and sections using AutoCAD software.
3. Ensure accuracy and consistency in dimensions, scale, and proportions across all CAD drawings.
4. Incorporate design revisions and modifications as directed by the project team.
5. Organize and maintain CAD files and project documentation in a systematic manner.
6. Review CAD drawings for errors or discrepancies and make necessary corrections.
7. Assist in the preparation of presentation materials and client deliverables as needed.
8. Prepare BOQ and specifications.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD software with a minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural drafting and editing.
3. Strong understanding of architectural terminology, drawing conventions, and construction techniques.
4. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision under tight deadlines.
5. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
6. Knowledge of 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino) is a plus.
7. Portfolio demonstrating proficiency in AutoCAD drafting and editing is required.
