Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Automotive Electrician for one of our clients in Al Ain / Sharjah. The ideal candidate should be experienced in diagnosing and repairing various electrical and mechanical issues in all types of vehicles, including German, American, and European cars. The candidate must be proficient with diagnostic tools and able to troubleshoot both minor and major vehicle issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Vehicle Diagnostics:

• Use specialized diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electronic issues in vehicles.
• Perform computer diagnostics and interpret fault codes to identify problems in engine, transmission, suspension, and other systems.

Maintenance Services:

• Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and air filter replacements.
• Inspect and maintain systems including engine, transmission, brakes, exhaust, and suspension.

Repairs & Replacements:

• Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brake systems, exhaust systems, and electrical components.
• Replace faulty parts, such as spark plugs, batteries, alternators, and timing belts.
• Overhaul or rebuild engines or other major mechanical systems as needed.

Electrical & Electronics Systems:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, such as malfunctioning alternators, batteries, wiring, and sensors.
• Diagnose and repair issues with vehicle electrical control systems, including ABS, airbags, and climate control systems.
• Install electrical systems or modifications (lighting systems, entertainment units, etc.) as required.

Test & Inspection:

• Conduct test drives to verify the effectiveness of repairs and maintenance.
• Perform post-repair inspections to ensure work meets safety and performance standards.

Customer Communication:

• Interact with customers to explain vehicle issues, needed repairs, and preventative maintenance recommendations.
• Provide cost estimates for repairs and ensure customer satisfaction with the completed work.

Tool & Equipment Maintenance:

• Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Report defective tools or equipment to management.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Accurately record all work performed, parts replaced, and services completed.
• Maintain detailed service records, including maintenance schedules and vehicle history.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all safety procedures while working with tools, machinery, and automotive systems to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards for vehicle repair and maintenance.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Experience: 2-5 years of experience as an automotive technician or electrician in a similar role, with a solid understanding of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certification in automotive repair is preferred.
• Certifications:
• ASE certification (Automotive Service Excellence) is highly preferred.
• Manufacturer-specific certifications or additional automotive repair certifications are advantageous.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and automotive repair equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and efficiently repair complex vehicle issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for effective customer interaction and team collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Comfortable standing or kneeling for long periods and working with automotive tools and machinery.

Benefits:

• Salary: AED 2,000 to AED 5,000 (Commission-based)
• Additional Benefits: Visa, uniform, and ID
