ATSEP Engineering Specialist - ATM

To provide technical expertise to support the design, development, procurement, implementation, integration and maintenance of ATM systems to ensure operational / project requirements are optimally delivered across the designated ADAC airports whilst ensuring compliance to applicable regulations.

Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Support wider research and development study work by the end user to understand the requirements of the airport development plan and assist the Senior Engineering Specialist in evaluating ATM system requirements for recommending upgrades, replacements and / or additions.
• Develop technical specifications to meet the ATM system requirements and provide expertise to support procurement in the technical evaluation process.
• Review the ATM systems engineering documents and submittals from the selected supplier to assist with the approval process.
• Install and integrate new ATM systems and / or upgrades to the existing systems in accordance with the agreed contractual terms and applicable regulations.
• Participate in factory testing (FAT), site testing (SAT) and CAAP25 or regulatory approval to ensure the project phase is completed as per terms of the contract.
• Participate in ATM systems training as required and support Engineering Training Manager in rolling out training to the end users.
• Configure ATM systems in a planned and compliant manner throughout the systems lifecycle.
• Check maintenance carried out on ATM systems to identify and report any abnormalities and non-compliance with the standard operating procedures and annual maintenance schedule.
• Review of new and existing ATM systems engineering processes and procedures in line with the asset management manual and make necessary recommendations for continuous improvement whilst ensuring compliance.
• Collect and analyse data and statistics to prepare periodic reports to keep the management / customer up to date.
• Work closely with the Engineering Training Manager to design, develop and deliver ATM systems training in accordance with the ATSEP regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional responsibilities that may arise from time to time to meet operational requirements.
• Adhere to IMS, regulatory requirements and safety management systems guidelines that may be communicated from time to time to ensure compliance.
• Safety responsibilities and accountabilities of this position are detailed in the Safety Management Manual of the organization. The Job holder is required to maintain awareness and knowledge in relation to their safety responsibilities associated with their job function.

Educational Qualification:

• Higher diploma in Electronics required. Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or equivalent preferred.

Professional Certifications:

• Specialism in ATM systems supported with manufacturer technical training qualifications required.
• ATSEP basic, equipment and ATM system competence.
• Valid UAE driving license (LGV) required.
• Project management such as AMP, PMP etc. can be added advantage.

Experience:

• 15 years experience in Engineering with a focus on ATM required.
• Regional experience within the UAE and/or GCC preferred.

Special Technical Skills:

• English language proficiency required. Working knowledge of Arabic preferred.
• Ability to design and deliver technical ATM related training courses.
