This database focuses on various types of hotel refurbishments, including soft refurbishments, fixes, renovations, and upgrades. It serves as a valuable resource for our clients who are interested in capitalizing on these opportunities.

Job Description:

The primary objective of this role is to maintain and update our Hotel Refurbishment Database. The freelancer will be responsible for researching and collecting detailed information about hotels in the GCC region, with a particular focus on their refurbishment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Update hotel profiles with the following information:
1. Name of the Hotel
2. Rating
3. Location
4. Year of inception
5. Details about ongoing refurbishments, including:
6. Type (Fit-out, Floor, Kitchen, Pool, Gym, Laundry, Rooms, Bath Fit Outs, etc.)
7. Status (Ongoing, Planned, Completed)
8. Start/End Date
2. Identify and record key contacts for each hotel, including:
1. Head of Housekeeping
2. Head of Engineering
3. Head of Procurement
4. General Manager
5. Head of MEP Division
6. Head of Maintenance
7. For smaller hotels (2-3 star), any other relevant contact regarding refurbishment information
3. Conduct proactive outreach to hotels to gather up-to-date information on refurbishment projects
4. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in the database
5. Provide regular updates and reports on database status and new opportunities identified

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Experience in the hotel industry, particularly procurement, purchasing, housekeeping, or administration departments or even as Sales Coordinators
2. Strong research and data collection skills
3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
4. Persuasive and persistent approach to information gathering
5. Ability to bypass gatekeepers and obtain necessary information from key decision-makers
6. Proficiency in database management and data entry
7. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
8. Self-motivated and able to work independently
9. Fluency in English (written and spoken)
10. Arabic language skills would be an added advantage
11. Familiarity with the GCC hospitality market is preferred
