Description
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the academic, research, and service missions of the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, supporting the UAE’s nuclear technology goals. Faculty members in this position will engage in high-quality teaching across Nuclear and broader Mechanical Engineering disciplines, lead research programs, and collaborate with the Emirates Nuclear Technology Center (ENTC) on projects that address nuclear safety, materials integrity, and radiation technology challenges.
Teaching Responsibilities
Mentor and supervise students in coursework and research activities, offering comprehensive support in thesis development, experimental design, and project execution.
Research Responsibilities
Service Responsibilities
Collaborate with ENTC and external stakeholders to enhance the UAE’s research and development in nuclear technology, supporting projects with both local and international impact.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Mechanical/Nuclear Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution, with significant expertise in Nuclear Materials and Chemistry or Radiation Science.
A minimum of 8 years of experience relevant to the position, out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.
Proven record in securing competitive research funding, publishing in high-impact journals, and conducting impactful research in nuclear technology.
