Associate Partner & Director - Accounting Services

Job Description:
The Associate Partner & Director - Accounting Services will be responsible for leading the development of the business unit, overseeing client operations, and managing client accounts within ACOUP - Accounting Advisory & Audit Services. This role combines strategic business development, client relationship management, and operational oversight to drive growth and ensure service excellence. The Associate Partner & Director will work closely with senior leadership to develop strategies for expanding the client base, managing high-value accounts, and ensuring efficient, high-quality service delivery. This role is crucial in establishing ACOUP as a trusted advisor to SME clients and in meeting the unit's business and revenue targets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development: Lead efforts to acquire new clients and expand ACOUP’s reach in the SME sector by developing and executing business growth strategies. Identify new market opportunities, establish partnerships, and build a robust client pipeline.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring strong client relationships and high levels of client satisfaction. Oversee onboarding and ongoing support for all client accounts to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  3. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Services unit, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant with standards, and meet client requirements. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
  4. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to set growth objectives and develop strategic plans for scaling the Accounting Services unit. Monitor performance metrics, client retention rates, and profitability, and implement improvements as needed.
  5. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, setting performance targets, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  6. Financial Reporting & Advisory: Provide clients with strategic financial insights, assist in financial reporting, and offer advisory support to help clients improve financial health and achieve business goals.

Required Experience:

  1. 10+ years in accounting services or financial consulting, with a strong background in business development and client management.
  2. Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within a professional services firm or accounting services provider.
  3. Demonstrated success in developing client accounts and managing high-value client relationships.

Required Education & Qualification:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred.
  2. MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an advantage.

Skills Required:

  1. Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
  2. Strategic planning, leadership, and team management abilities.
  3. Expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and advisory.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Additional Requirement:

  1. Existing network within the SME sector or professional services industry is highly advantageous.
  2. Ability to handle multiple client accounts and projects efficiently.
