Job Description

Purpose: The role has management responsibility for a Manager, Talent Management and serves as a coach and mentor for key stakeholders within the business. IHS Towers is expanding our global footprint, and we are seeking an individual to join our team in Dubai. The purpose of Associate Director QHSSE Systems Implementation is to oversee the consistent deployment of QHSSE systems globally and to ensure that they are implemented as intended and meet the evolving need of the business as it scales.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and direct the efforts of the QHSSE COE Team
  2. Oversee HSSE team responsibilities with regards to ESG/sustainability reporting
  3. Develop and manage core QHSSE training to improve the competency levels of QHSSE resources globally
  4. Ensure the effectiveness and quality of all high-level incident investigations
  5. In collaboration with regional QHSSE leads and the COE, facilitate action improvement plans to mitigate gaps in group QHSSE processes
  6. Manage and execute the QHSSE readiness plans for all new IHS entities and regions
  7. Work with the regional QHSSE and operational leadership teams to improve contractor competency and delivery from QHSSE perspective
  8. Liaise with the systems team to identify and capture QHSSE system improvements
  9. Implement the Safety Touches Program globally, ensuring adoption and monitoring key KPIs
  10. Oversight of QHSSE Rewards and Recognition program globally
  11. Manage the group Crisis and response planning under the guidance of the VP of QHSSE and in collaboration with Associate Director Security
  12. Coach and Mentor regional leadership teams in effective QHSSE practices
  13. Ensure the QHSSE global strategy is cascaded to regions and implemented as intended
  14. Drive alignment and achievement of the group QHSSE Objectives

Qualifications:

Degree / NEBOSH Diploma / CSP or equivalent (Engineering, Quality, HSE). 10+ years in progressively more Senior Project Management HSE, QAQC. 3 years' experience in a global or regional remit responsible for QHSSE delivery and performance.

Job-Specific Competencies:

  1. In-depth understanding of developing and managing the integrated management system for a complex global organization (Incident investigation, ISO Auditing, Risk Management, Behavioral Safety, Environmental Management)
  2. Thorough understanding of ESG reporting frameworks
  3. In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft suite of platform
  4. RCA facilitation and Incident investigation management
  5. Emergency Response and Crisis management
  6. Critical Risk Workshop Facilitation, Action Plan Development, and Implementation
  7. Excellent communication and facilitation skills (Training Sessions and Meetings)
  8. QC/QA management with a focus on Field execution and operational excellence
  9. Internal and External Audit execution
  10. Project Management skills
  11. A team player who communicates effectively
  12. Ability to work independently when required
  13. Can work effectively under deadlines, meeting key deliverable timelines
  14. Courageous and can challenge respectfully when the situation is required
  15. Comfortable collaborating within all levels of the business, including members of EXCO and senior leadership
  16. An eye for detail with a focus on structure and accuracy
  17. Can work in dynamic changing environments
