Associate Director (Cost Management - Pre-contract)

Currie & Brown is looking for an Associate Director (Cost Management) to join our team in our head office in Dubai. As an Associate Director you'll work on and deliver pre-contract to join our growing team in Dubai, working on an exciting new project in the region.

What will you be doing

• Providing accurate estimation and cost planning advice and presenting to our clients
• Managing a team and providing continuous development
• Delivering assignments competently and professionally
• Managing resources, cost and time effectively to ensure margins are met
• Providing regular feedback to the director on the commissions under your management
• Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships

What do you need

• BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
• Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is preferred
• Previous technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy
• Pre-contract cost management (cost planning) experience is essential
• Middle East experience is preferred
• Good technical report writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external)
• Experience of a variety of sectors is beneficial, including hospitality, residential, retail, education, infrastructure, commercial and leisure projects in excess of $1 billion
• Experience of managing and leading pre-cost management teams within a live project environment
