Associate Director - Cost Management

Job Summary

The Associate Director will provide leadership and be responsible for leading and managing delivery of Commercial and Cost Management services of Major High-End Residential and Commercial Projects both in Pre-Contract and Post-Contract stages.

The Associate Director will provide a comprehensive, accurate, and value-driven service for Clients. He/She will also be responsible for direct reports and provide support and supervision. Will be Client-focused and lead project teams and/or provide advisory services.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Leading and managing a team of professionals and specialists for successful delivery of cost and commercial management services.
2. Achieve the highest standards of professional competence, maintain and develop good relationships with clients, and uphold and increase the profile of the firm as a provider of professional premium quality services to the construction industry.
3. Interprets benchmark data and presents to Clients.
4. Presents project deliverables to Clients.
5. Complies with all QA requirements.
6. Applies new thinking and innovation that shapes the business's service offering at the highest level.
7. Assists in developing new and existing clients of regional and EMEA wide significance.
8. Assists in establishing the strategic focus areas for the end market sectors.
9. Assists in establishing the financial plan for the regional business.
10. Accountable for the financial performance of a portion of the business.
11. Contributes and influences AECOM wide strategic direction and communicates and creates buy-in to the strategy across the business.

Specific skills required

1. Good understanding of preparing cost plans to elemental detail.
2. Thorough understanding of Conditions of Contract and contractual issues.
3. Good verbal and written communication skills.
4. Ability to provide specialist services in support of project requirements.
5. Independently performs highly complex professional assignments.
6. Able to present to Clients and senior industry professionals.
7. Familiar with Cost X software or other cost planning software.

Experience & Qualifications

1. Minimum 15 years experience since obtaining maximum educational qualification.
2. Experience of working in GCC, ideally in major consultancies and major high-end residential and commercial projects.
3. MIRCS qualified.
