We are seeking an Associate Director to be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional management and leadership skills, with experience in the retail and shopping mall construction sector, to deliver high-value projects to success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in construction and project management, with at least 3 years in retail and shopping mall projects.
  • Candidates must have UAE experience and prior experience in Project Management Consultancy (PMC).
  • Proven track record of delivering retail and shopping mall projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of retail industry construction standards, including operational and design requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Leadership

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with the client's vision and organizational goals.
  • Develop and oversee the project strategy, ensuring milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, to ensure project success.

Project Management

  • Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept development to handover.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Implement risk management strategies to address potential issues proactively.

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure that design and construction standards align with retail brand guidelines and specifications.
  • Monitor compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and sustainability requirements.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and adherence to project plans.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, investors, and retail operators.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage changes, and address concerns effectively.
  • Oversee project budgets and control costs to ensure profitability.
  • Review and approve financial reports, invoices, and procurement plans.
  • Identify opportunities for cost-saving without compromising quality.
