About the Job: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director to join the Health Safety and Hygiene team in Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Your key responsibilities will include:
Developing, maintaining and monitoring Health, Safety and Environment Policies, Procedures and Processes
Co-coordinating and overseeing the implementation of Health, Safety and Environment within SBU
Conducting Risk Assessment periodically and ensure identified risks are managed and controlled
Reviewing and approving Method Statements and Risk Assessments of all contractors awarded certain tasks at the SBU, these could be engineering contractors and/or events contractors, to remain in compliance with Jumeirah Contractor management system and permit to work systems.
Chairing the monthly Health Safety and Environment Group meeting and deliberating with the Committee on any Health Safety and Environment issues
Monitoring trends and recommending proactive action plans to remedy potential problems
Facilitating, investigating and analyzing incidents and ensuring lessons learned are shared and communicated to the concerned parties.
Managing and coordinating all Occupational Health and Safety & hygiene related matters
Managing and coordinating all Fire, Life Safety related matters in conjunction with Security & Technical Support departments
Managing and investigating all alleged food poisoning cases.
Assisting the Food and Beverage team in preparation for HACCP promotion and implementation.
Monitoring and ensuring that all Health and Safety related equipment are compliant and have the required maintenance and third-party certification
Carrying out Health Safety and Environment training such as Near Miss, Risk Assessment, Environmental awareness, etc. for all colleagues
Managing and coordinating third party visits related to Health Safety and Environment, including visits by authorities, authorized insurance companies, and consultants.
Managing and ensuring the Health Safety and Environment yearly strategy is implemented by all departments.
Assisting internal stakeholders in their liaison with customers, clients, and partners regarding HSE related queries.
Conducting daily inspections and surprise visits to various areas of the business – including the front of the house and the heart of the house – with special attention to sensitive areas.
Assisting in compiling and updating the business’ Risk Register (ERM) covering all departments
Supporting the SBU by coordinating the Enterprise Risk Registers to be reviewed quarterly by the risk owners and ensuring the risk portal is duly updated.
Ensuring monthly ESG reporting is carried out (HSE related), via the ESG reporting platform.
Organizing free Health checks and Environmental campaigns for colleagues in coordination with group medical and SBU paramedics.
About you: In order to be considered for this role, you will have at least a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in HSE Management.
College Graduate – Essential
College Graduate Science / Engineering background desirable
Diploma/ Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health or Environment (NEBOSH and/or IOSH)
