Cashier with Accounting Skills Wanted

As part of our expansion, we are seeking a detail-oriented Cashier with strong accounting skills to join our finance team. This role is vital in ensuring accurate cash handling and supporting our accounting operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision and accuracy.
• Reconcile daily cash receipts and prepare bank deposits.
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and prepare daily financial reports.
• Assist with accounts receivable by recording and verifying customer payments.
• Support accounts payable by processing vendor payments and preparing checks.
• Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies to the accounting manager.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and follow company policies on data security.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve any payment-related inquiries.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a cashier with some background in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Trustworthy, with a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
