Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Associate Director of Content to lead, launch and execute the social media content strategies for Publicis Groupe Middle East and for the individual agency social channels across the region to ensure cohesive and impactful communication as per business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in social media management, content creation, and digital strategy, with the ability to drive engagement and growth across multiple platforms. This role includes managing a direct report and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to deliver innovative and effective content solutions.

Main Tasks

  1. Technical & Product
    1. Proven leadership in social media management and content strategy, preferably for a B2B organisation.
    2. Expertise in developing and executing social media strategies and thought leadership content aligned with business and agency objectives.
    3. In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and emerging technologies.
    4. Ability to oversee and optimize multiple social media channels (Publicis Groupe Middle East + agency socials across the region) and create a cohesive, collaborative content approach to maximise reach.
    5. Understands of the “best in class” use of each platform and ability to embrace a platform-down approach to innovative, creative and impactful content.
    6. Strong knowledge of the cultural nuances in this region, by market to influence social content.
    7. Identify partnership or content opportunities with key platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, Tik Tok) where relevant.
    8. Experience in managing paid social media campaigns to enhance engagement and achieve campaign goals.
    9. Proficiency in social media analytics tools to measure performance and derive actionable insights.
    10. Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate strategies and insights clearly.
    11. Leadership capabilities to mentor and manage a direct report, fostering growth and development.
    12. Experience with managing creative and production teams.
    13. Stay up-to-date with current trends and be the primary resource for emerging platforms, social media best practices, and new products and tools.
    14. Monitor the social media activity of competitors and the industry.

    1. Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to understand the needs and objectives of the wider Groupe and agencies, and align social media strategies with overall goals.
    2. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables.
    3. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding project goals and targets.
    4. Strong organizational and project management skills.
    5. Adept at leveraging data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize content performance.
    6. Experience in managing and leading teams, with a focus on optimizing team productivity and efficiency.
    7. Ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively to deliver high-quality social media campaigns.
    8. Skilled in identifying opportunities for growth and developing strategies to capitalize on them.
    9. Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on objectives.
    10. Demonstrated success in coordinating the efforts across various departments and agencies.
    11. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing business environments and market conditions.
    12. High level of organizational efficiency, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
    13. Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential challenges and opportunities in social media management.

    6. Ability to work collaboratively and manage relationships with internal stakeholders across all departments and verticals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in social media management or content strategy, preferably for a B2B organisation or for an agency in the advertising/media/communications industry.
• Experience with social media analytics and management platforms like Sprout.
• Knowledge of paid social media advertising platforms, including Facebook Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
• Expertise in using creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or Canva is an asset.
• Experience with managing team members and acting as a mentor.
• English proficiency, Arabic writing a plus.
