Job Description:

Associate BIM Modeler

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Associate BIM Modeler (Utilities) to join our team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Production & development of Autodesk Civil 3D models.
2. Production of 2D drawings from Autodesk Civil 3D models.
3. Collect information and consolidate.
4. Confirm that information is consistent with the Site Configuration.
5. Good knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks, with experience of clash detection and producing clash report.
6. Create detailed documented records and maintain them to ensure clarity of the process and outcomes.
7. Assist with the resolution of issues, identify issues, and escalate to the manager.
8. Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards, in accordance with company QA/QC process.
9. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the site teams.
10. Manage the interfaces within the Roads & Networks project applicable to change and modification.
11. Comply with policies and procedures and commit to using the project BIM standards.
12. Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
13. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

1. A Diploma or Degree in Engineering from an accredited University.
2. Minimum 3 years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting experience in wet and dry utilities projects and extensive experience in modeling pressurized and gravity systems.
3. Extensive experience and knowledge of software such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks and AutoCAD and practical experience in designing, drafting (both in 2D and 3D). Also, knowledge and experience in clash detection is required.
4. Experience in Abu Dhabi Standards for large infrastructure works is required.
5. Excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills notably with various levels of the organization.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

1. Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
2. Being accurate, patient and able to work under pressure.
3. Experience in Navisworks and MicroStation will be an added advantage.
