Assistant Warehouse Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in logistics operation in order to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Check and ensure all inbound shipments are received in the system and stacked at designated storage on time.
• Check and ensure all receiving discrepancies are segregated and updated on time and documents are forwarded.
• Monitor entire inventory and batch movement and maintain accuracy between physical and system.
• Ensure all scheduled orders are fully serviced as per the timeline.
• Manage and allocate staff according to the changing needs.
• Ensure efficient utilization of space and equipment, ensuring quality, budgetary targets, and environmental objectives are met.
• Respond to and deal with all internal departments like Commerce, Retail, Procurement, QHSE, etc.
• Monitor performance and brief team leaders on a daily basis.
• Plan for future requirements and ensure efficient utilization of space.
• Ensure all system-related warehousing functions are updated in time.
• Facilitate Physical Inventory Count, check on deviations in detail, and confirm final variation to line manager.
• Maintain end-to-end control on inventory movement and replenishment.
• Coordinate with the concerned inventory team to ensure all returned products are moved and updated in the system.
• Check and ensure all short expiry, damaged including quality issues, and expired products are segregated and actioned on time as per the process.
• Process, forward, and act on various reports, and arrange periodic meetings with the team and line manager.
• Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security in the working environment.
• Check on QHSE audit reports and have periodic meetings with supervisors to ensure compliance.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-3 years of experience in the same role.
• ERP system skills / experience in SAP is an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
• Strong knowledge of warehousing key performance indicators (KPIs).
