Job Purpose
•Continuously improves and re-evaluates the purchasing activities of Aldar via reviewing spend, rates, and contractor’s performance.
•Set up and recommend the strategic sourcing framework and maintain its continuity and effectiveness to ensure proper support to the business.
Roles & Responsibilities
•Manage the prequalification of suppliers (consultants, contractors, goods and service providers) based on area of expertise and other set criteria.
•Review market research reports for suppliers, technologies and innovation specific to strategic categories at Aldar.
•Develop and implement procurement planning on quarterly and yearly basis for strategic items and establish category governance (through coordination with the procurement teams).
•Develop strategic supplier’s performance framework process.
•Spearhead contractor’s performance evaluation automation process.
•Deploy innovation procurement process with coordination with the innovation team to promote innovation and investment with start-ups.
•Maintain a database of pre-qualified suppliers at ALDAR system with stakeholders (PQ Committee).
•Act as focal point for coordination with local authorities such UAE Courts, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Department of Economic Development and other public entities in the UAE.
Qualifications & Experience
RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE
Min of 8+ years of experience in leading a procurement / sourcing function.

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
Real estate company or contractor with annual revenue of at least AED 2 billion.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
•Good understanding of site-based aspects of construction projects.
•IT proficient, with extensive experience working with Excel, Database and ERP systems (SAPAriba / Oracle).
•Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines.

QUALIFICATION
Bachelor degree in engineering, Masters preferred.
CIPS qualification or any equivalent procurement/supply chain certification.
